BBQ   1866

While it’s debatable who first coined the word Barbeque, it no doubt was popularized in the American west during the time of those beloved cowboys and fortune seekers of the 1800’s. The Chuckwagon, a large, portable BBQ used on the cattle trails was invented in 1866 by Charles Goodnight.
